Confession.
Every parish.
February 28, 2018.
6 PM – 8 PM.
On Wednesday, February 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm, every parish in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend unite to “keep the light on.” The Light is On for You is a national outreach, begun in the Archdiocese of Washington, that invites parishes to reach out in a particular way to those who have been away from the Father’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Together, we continue to raise awareness for God’s mercy and make it easier for practicing and inactive Catholics alike to receive the graces of the Sacrament this Lent.
Those who wish to obtain the sacrament on February 28 but require special assistance to do so should contact Mary Glowaski at mglowaski@diocesefwsb.org or 260-399-1458.

Lent is the season where we prepare ourselves to renew and restore our relationship with Jesus and the Church as we prepare to celebrate Easter. For many of us the Sacrament of Confession can be scary and even embarrassing. We may be too nervous or consider ourselves unforgivable. Yet with confidence Pope Francis reminds us:
“The Church must be a place of mercy freely given, where everyone can feel welcomed, loved, forgiven and encouraged to live the good life of the Gospel.”
–Pope Francis, (The Joy of the Gospel, 114)
